Kingsfield's Core Beliefs
- The Bible -
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative, and the inerrant Word of God. (II Timothy 3:15-17, II Peter 1:21)
- The Trinity -
We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1, Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, John10:30)
- Jesus Christ -
We believe in the deity of Christ (John 10:33), His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:34-35), His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15, 7:26), His miracles (John 2:11), His vicarious and atoning death (I Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 2:9), His resurrection (John 11:25, I Corinthians 15:4), His ascension to the right hand of God, the Father (Mark 16:19), and His personal return to earth in power and glory. (Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:11-13, Revelation 19:14-16)
- Salvation -
We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of the human nature, that all are justified on the single ground of faith in Christ and the finished work of the cross, and that only by God's grace through faith alone are we saved. (John 3:16-19; John 5:24, Romans 3:23; Romans 5:8-9, Ephesians 2:8-10, Titus 3:5)
- Resurrection -
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those who are saved unto the resurrection of life, and those who are not unto the resurrection of damnation. (John 5:28-29)
- Spiritual Unity -
We believe in the spiritual unity of the believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 8:9, I Corinthians 12:12-13, Galatians 3:26-28)
- Work of the Holy Spirit -
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by Whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. (Romans 8:13-14, I Corinthians 3:16; I Corinthians 6:19-20, Ephesians 4:30; Ephesians 5:18)
- Worship -
We believe that our whole lives are intended for Glorifying God. (1 Pet. 4:11, 1 Cor.10:31) We want to live our whole lives worshipping God in everything we do. (Romans 12:1) During the musical portion of our services we seek to honor God with our worship through song. We seek to worship in the same way David exampled for us in the psalms with both high energy and passion as well as reflective, reverent, and still hearts before Him. (Psalm 47:6, Psalm 149:3, Psalm 33:2, Psalm 27:6, Psalm 47:1, Psalm 119:120, Psalm 63:4)
- God's Love in Us -
We believe that we as Christians are examples of the love of God in this world. It is His selfless and unconditional love that we desire to possess and without it we have no right to call ourselves Christians. (I John 4:16-17)
Kingsfield's Leadership Structure
Kingsfield believes in the headship of Jesus Christ and are focused on seeking and maintaining the Lordship and direction of Jesus Christ through His Word. All of those in leadership continually seek the will of God through His Spirit and Word of God in all actions and decisions. The way you can describe the role of government at Kingsfield is that we are guarded by the board of directors, guided by the Pastors. Specifically we have three different leadership teams. The Board of Directors, The Pastors, and the Ministry Directors.
- Board of Directors: Guard the Church -
The Board of director’s primary function is to guard the organization. The directors evaluate the effectiveness of the organization according to the church's commission and resource. They are not expected to oversee specific areas of ministry in their capacity as Directors. However, they will often be found serving in other capacities. The Board of directors serves as the foundation on which the staff pastors can guide the ministry of Kingsfield Church.
The Board of directors oversees all financial matters of Kingsfield Church. The senior pastor is directly accountable to the Board of Directors in all these matters. The Senior Pastor does not make any major financial decisions without a majority vote from the Board of Directors. Members serve in terms of 2-year increments and are responsible to select new Board Members when needed.
Our Board of directors consists of a group of men who are filled with the Spirit and meet the biblical qualifications outlined in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1, and are particularly gifted in administration and financial stewardship.
- Pastors: Guide the Church -
The Pastors at Kingsfield Church are men who meet the biblical qualifications outlined in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1 for an overseer of the church. The Pastors seek to develop, enable and lead ministry that support and carries out the commission given to the Church in the word of God. Together, this team brings collective representation, perspective, and wisdom to each decision made. The Pastors meet weekly and seek to discern God’s will in matters pertaining to the ministry direction and spiritual matters of the church.
- Ministry Directors -
Staff Ministry Directors are those who are filled with the Holy Spirit and meet the qualification of a Deacon or deaconess given to us in 1 Tim. 3:8-13. The Ministry Directors oversee specific areas of ministry and can be paid or volunteer staff. The directors are responsible to direct the volunteers and oversee the resources within that specific ministry.
