God In Real Life
God is always up to something at Kingsfield Church and as a staff we are constantly celebrating those things together. We don’t want to celebrate alone so we have developed this section, God In Real Life, to let you in on a little of all that God is doing.
Tanzania : Hope of the nations
During the summer of 09 several student from Kingsfield Chruch spent 3 weeks in Tazania working with Hope of the Nations. Find out more about hope of the nations here.
Beacon of Hope Orphanage: Philippines
The proceeds from Kingsfield Church's Second Chance Thrift Shop in Laguna Beach go directly to our missions efforts both locally and globally. One of those ministries is the Beacon of Hope Orphanage in the Philippians established by Les and Cynthia McKinzie. During our Mothers Day service in 2006 Cynthia felt the call of God to step out in faith and begin working with orphans. It wasn't too long afterwords that both she and Les would make the decision to pour their whole lives into establishing and facilitating a orphanage now know as Beacon of Hope.
Beacon of Hope owns 8 acres in the Philippians that are being developed for the orphanage use. Our thrift shop supplies the children with clothes, shoes and recently was able to give a lump sum of $15,000 to help dig a fresh water well and run electricity to the facility.
