We believe that God has brought each and every one of us into community with one another and has equipped us for a specific function within that community. It is our desire to see everyone discover where they fit and enable them to live it out! Here is a list of some teams to get invoved with and find your fit here at Kingsfield Church.
Host Team
The Host Team's goal is to do everything short of sinning to create an inviting and welcoming atmosphere that engages people right where they are and points them to Jesus. This includes welcoming people as they walk in the door, helping new families navigate around the church, answering questions, making coffee, or anything else we can think of to create an atmosphere for thriving community. Listed below are the different areas in the Host Team. Please email Aaron Hale to get involved!
PARKING
Do you enjoy feeling the SoCal sun on your skin? If you said yes then we have the team for you! The Parking Team sets the stage for the rest of the morning by being the first contact with everyone arriving and creating a fun atmosphere before they ever walk in the doors. If you feel better with the sun over head than lightbulbs this team is for you!
USHERS
Ushers serve in many ways around Kingsfield and play a big role in keeping things moving. This team helps people find what they are looking for, receives the offering, helps with seating, and much more! If you are looking for the perfect place to let your inner traffic cop out, this is it!
CONNECTION TEAM
Do you know everything about Kingsfield, what we believe, and why we do what we do? At Guest Services you get the opportunity to provide answers and resources to anyone with questions to connect them to a life in Christ!
GREETER
Everyone likes being welcome! Our Greeters are here specifically to make everyone arriving to Kingsfield Church feel this way. From hand shakes to bear hugs, from short hellos to conversations, our Greeters make sure that everyone is part of the family!
HOSPITALITY
More of a behind the scenes person? Not what you would call a people person? We still have a place for you! The Hospitality Team extends a personal touch by preparing and providing refreshments for everyone. I mean, what would we all be like without our coffee?
PREP
Do you have an eye for detail and cleanliness? The Prep Team wants you! Here you will make sure that every person experiences a clean environment and that every seat is ready for the next person to arrive.
SETUP & TEARDOWN
Because Kingsfield meets in theaters we have Lobby Setup at 7:30 AM and Teardown at 10:30 AM every Sunday. This is one of the most important teams and enables us to create the environment that we do! Muscles aren't the name of the game here so don't be shy.
Media Team
There are many ways for you to get involved with the Media Team. The common misconception is that everything is far too technical so you can't do it. This is absolutely false! Yes, there are parts that are technical, but that's not everything. As long as you are comfortable on a computer, you have what it takes! Experience is helpful but not necessary. We will train you! CAMERA
Do you have steady hands and an attention span that would win a staring contest? Ever considered camera work? Here you get to provide everyone in the theater with a great focused shot of the stage. Without you everyone gets tired from squinting!
PRESENTATION
Each week we have new people visiting and checking out Kingsfield. Here you get the chance to help them connect! They will be able to engage because you are there to put up the lyrics and Scriptures throughout the morning.
CREATION
Graphic designers, writers, artists and photographers are a great asset in the success of Kingsfield. We have a big vision to be loud with our communication both inside and outside of the Kingsfield walls. Come be a part of the team that makes everyone else look good!
SOUND
Do you hear in different frequencies and know what all of it means? Bring those amazing ears to this team! Mixing audio for the theaters and the podcast is a very important role. Without you no one would hear the message of Jesus Christ!
PODCASTS
Every week we have many people come to the Kingsfield web site and to iTunes to watch, download or listen to the messages! We want to provide great opportunities for anyone to be able to hear the what God is doing through Kingsfield. Here you will edit and post our podcasts to help us reach out to the world!
SETUP & TEARDOWN
Because Kingsfield meets in theaters we have setup at 6:00 AM and teardown at 11:00 AM every Sunday. This is one of the most important teams and enables us to reach people in the way that we do! Massively strong muscles aren't required to fit in here...but we sure won't turn away anyone that has won Mr. Universe!
STUDENT MINISTRIES
Our junior high and high school ministries are exciting places to be involved! From weekly youth meetings on Wednesday nights to monthly events and camps, new leaders are always welcome. Not only do we get to be crazy and have fun, but we have the opportunity to impact these students at a crucial time in their lives! For more information email Jonathan Knepper or Simone Knepper.
Fuel & Shift Leaders
If you love to have fun, be crazy or just know that students need quality role models in their lives, this is the team for you! Here you will get to be a part of crazy games and a high energy night as well as get to be a huge influence on the next generation!
Kingsfield KidZ
Jesus made it clear that kids were not to be overlooked when the adults came to hear Him. Psalm 145:4 says, "One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts." We have been given the privilege and responsibility of leading the next generation in faith! Kingsfield Kidz is a growing and active place with lots of opportunities to be involved. This is one of the most important teams and enables us to care for and love on the Kingsfield Kids! You don't have to be the world's strongest man to provide our kids with a fun and safe environment.
LIL' VILLAGE (Infants - Sturdy Walking)
Do you love babies? No need to prepare lessons, just prayer and lots of love! In the nursery we have the wonderful opportunity to allow parents to focus their attention toward God knowing that their baby is being tenderly cared for. Even at the youngest age, they enjoy the music and company of other babies and loving reminders of God's special love and care for them.
TODDLERTOWN (Walking - Toilet-trained)
Toddlers love routine! They feel a sense of security and belonging when they come to a familiar place with familiar smiling faces and activities. So we follow a structered progression of activites each week including music, Bible story time, craft and a snack. If you are playful and have a lap that can hold a littler person or two, you will fit right in!
DOWNTOWN (Toilet-trained - Beginning Kindergarten)
PreSchoolers are ENTHUSIASTIC! Ask a room full of three and four year olds to pray and every hand goes up! Here we have time for free play, music, "Cirlce Time" to introduce the Bible story and a Blues Clues style lesson called Lil' K, which engages them with a creative application of faith. If you love to ask questions, get lots of hugs and help little hands with crafts, come on down to Downtown!
MAIN STREET (Kindergarten - 6th Grade)
Are you shamelessly in love with Jesus? Come to Main Street and be a shining light to lead kids to adore the God who loves us! Here you could do hand motions, run the DVD/projector or help kids with their prayer needs as all the kids from Kindergarten through 6th Grade gather together for energetic praise, connection time, a creative Bible lesson and worship moments for responding to God and committing their cares to Him in prayer.
PARK PLACE (Kindergarten - 1st Grade)
At this age, kids are really growing in their relationships with other kids and making leaps and bounds in their understanding of God's truths. They will find a way to make everything fun! The Bible lesson is followed up with games, activities or crafts. Come be a small group leader and give kids the most personal, consistent attention and care!
STUDIO 23 & 456 CLUB (2nd Grade - 3rd Grade & 4th Grade- 6th Grade)
Elementary kids respond to discussion and activities that focus on following Christ in "real life". This age is a very critical window to help them develop a Biblical world view, which means learning to ask "what does God say about it?" They need leaders who will invest prayer and time to help them navigate through the challenges of walking by faith and encourage them to trust God to help them make choices that will honor Him.
SPECIAL EVENTS, OUTREACH PROJECTS, FAMILY NIGHTS
If you are a great organizer and love to stir up excitement for group activities, this is for you! Here at Kingsfield Church we love to do more than just Sunday mornings. During these events we provide a place for kids to have fun and interact!
CURRICULUM/CRAFT PREP TEAM
We will gather at The Hub for a morning every other month to prepare the lessons, homework, craft and activity materials for Sunday mornings. If you love working together while visiting and you only have a day every now and then, or maybe "face time" with kids isn't your thing, you can still make a valuable contribution to Kingsfield Kidz!

PRAYER/FOLLOW UP
We are always looking for individuals who are living Christ centered lives, have a strong relationship with Him, and are gifted in ministering to others. This team gets the opportunity to pray over those making life changing decisions as well as being a part of the follow up team where we can contact those who turned their lives toward Christ during an experience. To join the team that prays life altering prayers email Aaron Hale.
SECOND CHANCE THRIFT SHOP
The Second Chance Thrift Shop in Laguna Beach is a great place to serve and meet some great Kingsfield people and the community of Laguna Beach. HELPING HANDS
Helping Hands is a ministry which helps members of our church when they have a need. Needs can vary from a meal for a family after the birth of a newborn or surgery to helping a single mom move. We love Helping Hands within our church volunteering their time and talents to brothers and sisters in need. Just email Lisa Custer if you are interested or if you have a need.
What do you do from here? Talk to us through one of four channels.
1. Fill out a contact card on Sunday morning and let us know where you would like to serve.
2. Give us a call at the church offices during the week at 949.679.1000.
3. Email any of the people listed above or email our Office.
4. Hunt down anyone who looks like they know what they are doing and ask them for help!
