Statement of Faith

The Bible

We believe the Bible to be the Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, without error, infallible, and authoritative.  As such we make it our aim to primarily focus our teaching on studies through whole books of the Bible, seeking to give attention and understanding to each verse in light of the broader context.  Believing the Bible to essentially be God's letter to humanity, we seek to understand it, knowing that therein are contained the answers for life. (II Timothy 3:16-17, II Peter 1:21, II Peter 1:3)

The Trinity or Triune God

We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1, Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, John10:30)

Jesus Christ

We believe in the Deity of Christ (John 10:33), His Virgin Birth (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:34-35), His Sinless Life (Hebrews 4:15, 7:26), His Miracles (John 2:11), His Vicarious and Atoning Death (I Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 2:9), His Resurrection (John 11:25, I Corinthians 15:4), His Ascension to the right hand of God the Father (Mark 16:19), and His Imminent Personal Return to earth in power and glory. (Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:11-13, Revelation 19:14-16, Revelation 20:4)

Sin & Salvation

We believe that as a result of Rebellion and Disobedience against God men and women have been separated in relationship from Him.  In order to make a way for Restoration and Redemption, God sent His Son into the world to be punished in Fallen Humanity’s place.  Salvation from Sin and Eternal Judgment in Hell are made available to all who place their faith in Christ’s Death and Shed Blood, Burial, and Resurrection.  It is by Grace through Faith in this work on our behalf at the Cross that a person is Saved and given the sure and certain hope of eternity in Heaven.  (John 3:16-19; John 5:24, Romans 3:23; Romans 5:8-9, Ephesians 2:8-10, Titus 3:5, I John 1:7-10)

We believe in the Resurrection of both the Saved and the Lost; those who are saved unto the resurrection of life, and those who are not unto the resurrection of damnation. (John 5:28-29)

Work of the Holy Spirit

We believe in the Baptism, present ministry, and daily filling of the Holy Spirit by Whose empowering and indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. (John 10:37-39, Acts 1:8, Romans 8:13-14, I Corinthians 3:16; I Corinthians 6:19-20, Ephesians 4:30; Ephesians 5:18)

The Church

We believe that Kingsfield is one expression or local gathering of the broader community of God’s people, the Church.  (Ephesians 2:19-22, I Corinthians 12:12-13,)

Kingsfield Church is a Calvary Chapel affiliate.
